Podgorje is a settlement in the Velenje municipality in northern Slovenia. It lies at the foothills of the Ložničko gričevje hills to the west of the town of Velenje, above the regional Velenje to Šoštanj road. The area was traditionally part of Styria. The entire municipality is now included in the Savinja statistical region.^[2]
